Hi everyone! I’m back with another episode of the “Surprise Me” series! I am so excited about today’s interactive cards and hope you like them too! There is also a fun giveaway for you at the end :)

I came across Bare Conductive some days ago when browsing around and immediately loved them! They seemed to be the link between my 2 worlds – the papercrafting world and the engineering world! Perfect!! I reached out to them and they were super nice sending me their greeting card kit to use in today’s cards. The kit is equipped with everything you need to make blinking light cards including flashing LEDs, coin cells and the Bare Conductive paint pen. I combined these with some cute images from MelJen’s Designs to make some uber-cute cards!

Showing you the cards as animated images because thats pretty much the only way to see their interactivity :) Here is the first card…

LightBulb

The recipient can pull the little tab on the right to activate the blinking LED. The image is Little Light Bulb from MelJen’s Designs.

I colored the image with Copics and used some Studio Calico patterned papers on the front of the card. Cut out a little hole on the light bulb for the LED to poke out. I printed the sentiment and cut it to size. Here are some photos of the inside circuit in the card that makes the bulb glow. Also shows the “switch” attached to the pull tab and how it activates the light. I used a thin wire just for the switch to make it easier to complete the circuit even if it moves around a bit.

My second card is even more cute and fun! Here it is..

Rabbits

Aren’t they choo chweet hopping towards each other? :) The image is Bunny Love from MelJen’s Designs and its a FREE digi! The sentiment is from TAWS AdoraBowl set.

I cut the spinner track for the bunny on my Silhouette Cameo with a cutting file I made. I have the file for you to download if you like. Just click the download button below.

And here are some photos of the circuit for this card…
