I’m starting a new blog series! Its called “Surprise Me” :)
I often define my style as “Interactive CAS”. What does it mean? Well simply that I enjoy creating Interactive Cards. They always surprise and delight those who receive the card and they are a lot of fun to make! So I’m kicking off this series to showcase cards that will surprise the recipient! Keep checking for frequent blog posts to this series!!
For the first card in the series, I picked up my inspiration from this week’s CASology cue “WORD” You will want to read on all the way to the end yo see how to make this very fun surprise card!
Here is my card…
Supplies: Cardstock: PTI white, TE blue, Patterned paper from stash Stamp: Flourishes Lenten Rose, PTI Heart-2-Heart Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics Tools: Silhouette Cameo
Thinking of what that little spinner on the side does? It spins the sentiment! A card where the words change! Isn’t it perfect for a WORD challenge? Here is another picture of the card with all 3 sentiments when the spinner is moved.

- Download my cutting file

Spinner Card Cutting File 2.78 KB - Take a 10.5″ X 5.25″ cardstock and score at 5.25″ to prepare the 5.25″ X 5.25″ card base. This is my white card base.
- Cut a 5″X5″ square from another colored cardstock for the second later above the base. This is my blue square. Don’t stick it on yet!
- Use the cutting file provided to cut the spinner circle from the same cardstock as the base. I used white for the circle.
- Attach the circle to the 5″X5″ square with a brad. Take care to center it properly in the square. You should be able to spin the circle now.
- Adhere the 5″X5″ layer to the card base.
- Use the cutting file provided to cut the window and spinner section from patterned paper. This is my topmost patterned paper layer.
- Adhere the patterned paper layer to the 5″X5″ layer using dimensionals or foam dots on the edges.
- Stamp your sentiments one at a time by stamping through the oval window then spinning the wheel till the sentiment disappears then stamping again. If the sentiments are moderate length, you should get 3 of them stamped.
- Decorate your card front!
